Leadership

The development of leadership has a long history of service and support at Rideau Hall. Working with partners, the Rideau Hall Foundation aims to expand opportunities for established and emerging leaders and to invest in conditions that support their growth and impact, both at home and abroad.

50th Anniversary of the Order of Canada

Thanks to the generosity of a small group of philanthropic champions of the Order of Canada, the Chancellery of Honours with the support of the RHF has developed a suite of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Order. These include the release of a commemorative hardcover book profiling members of the Order, a national speakers’ series in partnership with The Walrus Talks, a commemorative coin from the Royal Mint, and a new microsite—OC50.gg.ca—featuring rich multimedia content and an improved online nomination process.

Youth-Led Reconciliation

Imagine a Canada is a national arts and communications initiative that invites young people to creatively express their vision for the future of Canada through the lens of Reconciliation. Young people are invited to create a story, poem, piece of art, short film, or essay that envisions the country they want us to strive for, together. Selected works will be celebrated at Rideau Hall on June 20th, 2017.

The ceremony will be followed by a 4Rs Youth Gathering of Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth for a youth-facilitated dialogue on reconciliation. The RHF is proud to be working closely with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation on this important project for Canada.
